Real Need Software is one of the UK's leading providers of human resource assessment software. Since 1995, we have provided assessment systems for some of the UK's principal test distributors and HR assessment consultancies.
With our skills and experience in both psychometric assessment and software development, we are able to respond rapidly to our clients' requirements and are able to advise on technical, psychometric and design aspects of software development projects.

In addition to our considerable experience in questionnaire and test administration software, we have particular skills in narrative report creation, either for on-line or pc-based systems. Our experience in this area goes back some fifteen years and we have either developed or contributed to a substantial number of narrative reporting systems which have been in use in the UK, European and US markets over this period.

We have developed both pc-based and internet-based testing systems and have recently developed a series of ground-breaking on-line tests for one of our clients using Macromedia Flash™, in order to provide a richly graphical and non-threatening assessment interface for the test-taker.

Our experience is not just limited to standard test and questionnaire systems. On behalf of our clients, we have developed both pc-based and web-based systems for 360 degree appraisal. These systems enable HR managers to set up their own customised competency models, design questionnaires, notify appraisers and appraisees as required, collect appraisal data, analyse appraisal data and generate comprehensive graphical and narrative reports.

In addition to our work in the Human Resources area, we have also undertaken major database system-development projects for other clients, including data-tracking, equipment-tracking, bar-coding, organisational membership and office administration projects.
